The Tournament
The Viking Cup Tournament was inspired by the resounding success of Ramsey Crookall's annual private "Polo in the Park" event held annually at the beautiful Ballacooiley Equestrian Estate in Ballaugh since 2020.
In August 2023, the first-ever invitational polo tournament was hosted on the Isle of Man by Triskelion Polo Club, together with Ramsey Crookall, where six teams from across the UK and the Isle of Man completed it for the inaugural trophy.
In 2023, Fiesta Del Asado White from Offchurch Bury Polo Club became the first team to win The Viking Cup Tournament, scoring 4 goals to 1 ½ over Shrewsbury Polo Club.
"The Viking Cup" aims to create a vibrant atmosphere, with the support of local residents and international visitors to witness the thrilling matches and is set to captivate both avid polo enthusiasts and newcomers to the sport while celebrating the Island's rich heritage and welcoming spirit.
