The Viking Cup Invitational Polo Tournament

The Tournament

The Viking Cup Tournament was inspired by the resounding success of Ramsey Crookall's annual private "Polo in the Park" event held annually at the beautiful Ballacooiley Equestrian Estate in Ballaugh since 2020.

In August 2023, Triskelion Polo Club, together with Ramsey Crookall, hosted the first-ever invitational polo tournament on the Isle of Man. Six teams from across the UK and the Isle of Man competed for the inaugural trophy.

2025 Viking Cup

In 2025, Locate IOM narrowly claimed victory in a tight final, becoming the first local team to win the Viking Cup. They scored 7 goals to 6 against Ramsey Crookall, with Dundee and Perth finishing third.

2024 Viking Cup

In 2024, Dundee and Perth Polo Club from Scotland won the Viking Cup, beating England’s Shrewsbury Polo Club 7-3. This was Shrewsbury’s second time as runners-up.

2023 Viking Cup

In 2023, Fiesta Del Asado White from Offchurch Bury Polo Club became the first team to win The Viking Cup Tournament, scoring 4 goals to 1 ½ over Shrewsbury Polo Club.

"The Viking Cup" aims to create a vibrant atmosphere, with the support of local residents and international visitors to witness the thrilling matches and is set to captivate both avid polo enthusiasts and newcomers to the sport while celebrating the Island's rich heritage and welcoming spirit.
